![]() Perhaps the most common Bed Bug myth is that bed bugs reside in only dirty environments, but the reality is that people are the attraction. Bed Bugs are attracted to carbon dioxide and heat. Both of which are emitted by humans and pets. They can reside in the cleanest apartment, home, movie theater, hotel, cruise line, or plane as long as people reside in the area. Pest control companies that rarely heard of bed bugs cases years ago are now getting multiple calls a week of newly exposed infestations in all major and minor cities in the U.S. The problem is only getting worse, exponentially worse, as a matter of fact. From all of us at Tanner Pest Control 12/8/2011 0 Comments Utah Cockroaches![]() The two most common types of cockroaches found in Utah are American and German Cockroach. The reason why the Oriental Cockroach is not found in Utah is because they live in more humid temperatures. The cool dry temperature of Utah will attract these nasty pests. The lifespan of a typical cockroach lasts 200+ days (this is much longer than a typical house mouse). The female will lay roughly 40 eggs each season. Key areas to check your home to see if they are invading is anywhere with pipes (under sinks) and anywhere with food (kitchens and storage room). |
